On-device identification
Species recognition runs entirely on your phone. It works offline, returns results instantly, and no photo needs to leave your device to name a creature.
A field guide you play
Hunt real creatures in the wild, scan them from a safe distance, and collect a card for every species you meet. A calm, careful game about paying closer attention to the animals around you.
Always keep a safe distance. Never approach or disturb wildlife.
How it works
Find a creature in the wild — a bird, an insect, a reptile, a neighborhood cat.
Point and scan from a safe distance. On-device recognition names the species instantly.
Mint a collectible card with its type, sourced field stats, and a signature ability.
Fill the dex, tag individuals, and map the wildlife of your neighbourhood.
Principles
Species recognition runs entirely on your phone. It works offline, returns results instantly, and no photo needs to leave your device to name a creature.
A privacy-preserving fingerprint lets Pawdex recognise the same individual animal on later encounters, and bring back its name, backstory, and the lore left by others.
The catch footage is never stored — only a numeric fingerprint remains. Exact coordinates stay on your device; only a coarse area is ever shared.
A quiet trail dashboard tracks the species you discover and the ground you cover, turning an ordinary walk into a hunt.
